TITANS GIVE BACK

Gladiator Hockey, Midgets & Scotiabank Share the Ice

Playing hockey is something many of our athletes never thought possible ... until they were able to stand on their skates (yikes!) ... put on their team jerseys ... skate alongside their teammates ... and they became hockey players! Some have been Gladiators since day one, 22 years ago, and some are just finishing their first season.

Playing hockey is an important part of their lives - they are part of a hockey team, they belong to a hockey team, they are included - this is huge!

After 22 years of keeping our kids/athletes on the ice by the seat of our fundraising pants, it's incredible to us to have your support and your acknowledgement!

Your generosity is overwhelming - they now enjoy proper equipment to practice with, water bottles, toques and practice shirts - all with logos that show someone cares.  What you all have done is amazing!

We look forward to our affiliation with Eric and the Titans/Wolverines organization.  The Gladiators can't wait for another shared practice session, and for both organizations to continue learning from each other for many seasons to come! You're all welcome any time at Gord & Irene Risk arena.  We hope to see you there!

We took some photos - yes, some do have their shirts on backwards (!) to show off the logos on camera!  Enjoy and hope to meet you soon!

On behalf of everyone in our Gladiators family

MINOR BANTAMS TITANS Give back by supporting holiday toy drive!

2000 Titans – Giveback to North York Women’s Shelter
On Monday December 21st, once again, our Toronto Titans Minor Midget hockey team, converged on the North York Woman’s Shelter.  At this time of year much assistance is needed at the shelter to help organize the multiples of donations that are received at their warehouse.  The shelter was extremely grateful for the added 15+ sets of Titans hands that were able to reduce days of work into mere hours.  A lot of heaving lifting was shouldered by the team.  Well done, Team Titans!

MINOR ATOM TITANS – GIVE BACK TO SENIORS

Toronto Titans 2006 Minor Atom Team sang Christmas carols at Streetsville Community Care Seniors Home in Mississauga. The players also made some homemade Christmas cards which they handed out to the seniors while sharing some timbits with them. The boys sang for about 40 minutes while many of the seniors joined in and had a blast. Carter even said "This felt really good mom!! And did you notice so many of them sang along with us, it was really nice." This event went over really well - the boys enjoyed themselves, the seniors had a nice evening and even the parents commented about how great this give back is for all of us!!

Adopt-a-Family Christmas Fund Support 2015:
Hope for Children Fund’s Christmas Program places an emphasis on matching CCAS (Catholic Children’s Aid Society) youth and youth parents in the community with donors providing gifts and gift cards to families served by CCAS. Donors receive a profile for each family they would like to sponsor, along with a special gift list which helps them to personalize their giving. Donors can decide how much they would like to contribute or how many items on the wish list they would like to purchase. Donors are asked to drop off their donations at one of the Adopt-a-Family locations across Toronto and volunteers and staff ensure that the gifts are delivered to families. Through the generosity of donors like The Titan’s 2002 Hockey Team, Hope for Children’s Adopt-a-Family program supports more than 139 youth and youth parents and 1,146 families. Donor support means that CCAS youth, youth parents and families have a brighter Christmas. Children, youth and families had gifts to open on Christmas morning and a nutritious Christmas meal on their table.

PEEWEE TITANS GIVE BACK TO SICK KIDS HOSPITAL

The 2002 Peewee Toronto Titans took on the “5000 Puck Challenge” in an effort to raise money for SickKids Foundation. Each team member committed to taking 5000 shots leading up to Give Back Day and gather as many pledges as possible to support this worthy cause. This was a great opportunity for the kids to practice their shots, raise awareness and give back to the community. The “5000 Puck Challenge” was a tremendous success and raised just under $4,000.00 with 100% team participation. A special thanks to Lisa Walker of SickKids Foundation for helping us organize the event. The 2002 Peewee Titans were very proud to present her with a “BIG” cheque along with some teddy bears to hand out to the kids!

2017 Toronto Titans Give Back Day

2007 - Atom AAA - Salvation Army

It was a great evening for the 2007 Titan team.  The boys showed excellent team holiday spirit and attendance.  The boys went to the Salvation Army in North Etobicoke and sorted toys for underprivileged children in both the Etobicoke and Woodbridge communities for 2 hours.  The boys showed tremendous character, holiday spirit and compassion.  The team was able to raise an additional $500 for the Salvation Army food bank to use in this time of need.  Thanks to all the parents for attending and supporting this wonderful evening.
